Andrew Farnsworth
EXECUTIVE COACH
About 10 years ago, I walked the last 160 kms of the Camino de Santiago in Spain while being coached daily. It was an amazing experience which made me appreciate the tangible benefits of coaching. My coach brought both caring and backbone to our conversations which energized me and launched me on my own coach training journey. I have not looked back since.
As a business leader who has worked across many cultures, geographies, functions, and industries I am intensely curious about what motivates people, and how to help them adapt and thrive as they take on new challenges and opportunities. I approach each coaching engagement by trying to understand my client’s unique situation in the context of the system in which they operate and the various stakeholders they interact with to help them find resonant actions and a path forward.
I have a BA in Psychology from Harvard College and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. I am a certified coach with Marshall Goldsmith Stakeholder Centered Coaching and the Coach Training Institute (CTI), and a graduate of the Executive Coaching Program at William James College.
I have worked in finance, marketing, and sales operations roles before moving into HR. For the past 20+ years, I have held global leadership roles in HR including Chief People Officer roles at a late-stage biotech company (most recently), a global Industrial and Aerospace company, a multinational software company and a global real estate investment company. I spent many of these years based in Europe. In all my roles, I have developed a passion for helping people uncover their blind spots, understand their aspirations, and advance their careers.
Since then, I have informally coached leaders at all levels across the organizations in which I have worked, including many in C-Suite leadership positions. I have also worked closely with a diverse group of emerging leaders and high potential employees.
