Emily has been in the field of experiential education and instructional design for 10 years. She uses simple design and deeply felt presence to make it easier for people and groups to access the knowledge they have and apply it to challenges they face.
Emily brings deep listening, calm, and a sense of play and possibility to client collaborations. Her diverse professional background leads to holistic designs as she integrates cognitive neuroscience research, experiential education principles, and organizational systems analysis to design the right workshops for her clients. Her goal is to move organizations towards a sustainable and joyful culture that will last, even as individual employees come and go.
Emily’s background includes:
Studying and writing about the interaction between technology and cognition at the Tufts University Applied Cognition Lab.
Designing and leading experiential outdoor education workshops in Virginia, California and Massachusetts.
Completing the Next Economy MBA program – studying how impact-driven companies like Patagonia, Allbirds, and Ben & Jerry’s approach business strategy and structure from a socially just and environmentally regenerative perspective.
