Lisa Fiering is a Senior Human Resources Leader in the Life Science industry with demonstrated success aligning People Strategies with Corporate Objectives. She brings more than 25 years’ experience in innovative science-based companies, along with a passion for unleashing employee potential by driving individual development, team and organizational effectiveness. This unique combination empowers Lisa to assist companies in developing strong employee relations, performance management, organization design & development, company culture and engagement capabilities.
Lisa thrives in the collaborative effort of fitting together the puzzle pieces for innovative people strategies to impact the business; in pursuit of that gratifying feeling of finding the right puzzle piece and locking it in place.
In addition to her consulting work, Lisa has served as SVP, Human Resources for Trillium Therapeutics, a clinical stage immune-oncology company. She quickly began building strong relationships with the executive team and key employees across the company in developing a People Strategy to meet the needs of the business. She quickly pivoted to leading the HR efforts in the subsequent due diligence, acquisition, and integration with Pfizer.
Prior to Trillium, Lisa started and led the HR functions at both Kintai Therapeutics and Keryx Biopharmaceuticals; ushering the companies through the life cycle from clinical trials through FDA approval, launch, and commercialization, with periods of hyper growth and significant change. Lisa honed her HR skills in Director roles with Genzyme and Ironwood Pharmaceuticals, working as HR Business Partner for Commercial Business Units and Development organizations including Regulatory, Clinical Research, BioMed Ops, and Pharmacovigilance.
As part of her roles in HR, she has driven initiatives in Corporate Values, Culture and Engagement. organizational competencies, employee recognition, performance management, comprehensive onboarding and employee/manager development programs. She has also established programs for Total Rewards in benefits and compensation, and effective talent acquisition strategies for early-stage Biotech companies.
Lisa holds a B.A. degree in Sociology, and is a Certified Insights Practitioner.
