Lori Dernavich
EXECUTIVE COACH
When I coach clients, I wear five hats:
Coach: Many answers are somewhere in your head, so I’ll ask questions to bring them out.
Mentor: I’ve coached many clients over the past 20+ years. I may tell you how some resolved issues, and you can determine if that would help your situation.
Teacher: Sometimes learning a tool will be what you need to provide better feedback, manage your time, manage up, or get the most out of your 1:1s meetings.
Confidante: You may just need someone to vent to when you can’t talk to anyone else. Or perhaps you need a sounding board for your ideas.
Therapist: When you’ve tried every tactic to change, but still find yourself stuck, we’ll dip into your psyche to break up the logjam.
I make it a priority to understand and respect an individual’s unique personality, role, and goals. Our meetings are confidential –a safe place for you to learn new skills, address issues, and test solutions. Each of my clients is unique, so coaching is customized to fit your needs and desired outcomes.
I founded my coaching business in 2002. Prior to that, I was a senior high-tech recruiter, a corporate leadership coach, and a psychotherapist. I have a BS in Food Chemistry and a MA in Counseling Psychology. My background gives me an in-depth understanding of a wide variety of personalities, functions, and industries.
